Supportive Environments for Individuals’ Lifespan Development

The Supportive Environments for Individuals’ Lifespan Development (SEILiD) research group studies how natural and built environments, along with lifestyle factors, impact health across the lifespan, extending applications beyond traditional health outcomes. Positioned at the intersection of environmental health and preventive medicine, SEILiD’s research emphasizes interventions—like green urban spaces, food safety, physical activity, and occupational health—that enhance disease prevention and promote wellbeing.

SEILiD also focuses on advancing methods for exposure assessment, particularly through human biomonitoring, to better understand the relationship between environment and health. The group’s findings guide innovative actions and policies that support healthier lifestyles and wellbeing, offering insights relevant to various sectors influencing the environmental factors that shape health and behavior.
