Ana Abreu
Ana Abreu, MD, PhD, is a renowned cardiologist with extensive international experience in cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation. She has led the Portuguese Society of Cardiology’s Cardiovascular Rehabilitation (CR) working group and the European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC) CR Section, playing a key role in the development of European standards and quality criteria for CR programs. Ana Abreu coordinates the CR Centre at FMUL/CHULN/CRECUL, the first in Portugal to be accredited by the European Society of Cardiology. She is a Professor of Cardiology at the University of Lisbon, President-elect of EAPC, and leader of several international research projects. Her work has been widely published in high-impact journals, establishing her as a leader in preventive cardiology.
