PsyLab is composed by a team of psychiatrists and psychologists. Our research encompasses many different approaches and areas of research from philosophy of psychiatry to neurosciences.

Our main objectives are: 1) To reflect on the definition of mental symptoms and disorders considering the contribute of social and psychological environment; 2) To investigate the impact of different environmental stimulus on mental symptoms and disorders; 3) To identify and distinguish contributors to mental symptoms from biological to environmental and social factors.

We aim to generate multifaceted evidence that adds to the complex comprehension of causality and development of mental disorders, considering the interaction between human behavior and different environmental conditions and the impact of these factors on the definition of mental pathology itself.
